SFI is committed serving the Puget Sound, U.S. and Global soccer community, by supporting, promoting and evangelizing the beautiful game through high-quality, accurate and insightful multimedia content that provides context and insight into the Seattle Sounders FC’s organization, player’s rich history, community service activities, supporter groups and fans.

SFI is committed to providing  quality written, photo and video content to the fans. (No gossip, no rumors or tabloid type journalism). In addition, the objective is to shine the spotlight on Sounders FC, MLS, the players, the great work that the club does in the community as well as those that do outstanding work covering the Seattle Sounders FC’

SFI will be a hub to not only feature exclusive content but will also link up some of the top bloggers and journalists in the region that do a terrific job covering the club and the beautiful game for the fans in the Northwest.

SFI believes that soccer is more than just a sport, it is a passion and has the ability to bring peoples from across ethnic, religious, political and socio economic backgrounds, together to make a positive impact in the local and global community. So with that said, of course, the biggest spotlight will shine on the best fans in American soccer. SFI will continue to take the fans inside of training, onto the pitch and into the community from a fans perspective.  After all, it is Sounders Fan Insider. :

Who is SFI? Greg Roth has played and followed soccer most of his life. He has been a Sounders fan since 1975 when he moved up from San Jose California. He currently plays adult rec. soccer and is a volunteer youth coach. He also donates his time as a referee for “Scores America (Seattle). Greg is a current season ticket holder and and elected member of the Seattle Sounders FC Alliance Membership Council. He was honored, along with 9 other council members, by the club before the last regular season home match by receiving the highly coveted “Golden Scarf” Greg is an accomplished photographer and has the opportunity to cover Sounders home matches, interview coaches, players, and other folks that are associated with U.S. Soccer and Major League Soccer. Some of his photos have been featured in various soccer news websites such as “Sounder at Heart”, “Seattle Soccer Examiner”, “Prost Amerika” and the “Seattle Times”. Greg also helped serve as communications manager for the 2009 Supporters Summit that took place in Seattle during the 2009 MLS Cup weekend.
